An ultra-sound scan organised by my G.P. revealed a large ovarian cyst. I was therefore looking for a Consultant to provide advice and to carry out appropriate surgery and any further treatment. I discovered Mr. Moiad Alazzam through the Manor Hospital (Oxford) website and was immediately impressed by his C.V. At an initial consultation to discuss my needs, I knew that I had found the right person for me. He is patient, kind, sympathetic, caring and pragmatic. His warm personality makes him approachable and not at all intimidating. Mr. Alazzam’s sense of humour was also appreciated by by both myself and my husband, and reduced any tension that I was experiencing. For me, his knowledge and expertise are second to none. The diagrams that he drew for me were very informative and helpful in providing a clear picture of the problem and the choices that I needed to consider. A total hysterectomy was successfully completed and I am now recovering well at home. In conclusion, I whole-heartedly recommend Mr. Alazzam to anyone looking for help with a gynaecological problem.

Mr Alazzam is caring, professional, honest and patient. He took the time to listen to myself and my husband and answered all our questions. He offered us an initial Skype consultation as we do not live locally to him which made the process so much easier for us. We also found Mr Alazzam’s Private Secretary, Zoe, extremely kind, helpful and efficient. We chose Mr Alazzam because of his specialism in fertility preservation and because he was recommended by a fertility specialist. Before the surgery, he explained what he hoped to do as well as all the possible outcomes. After surgery with him, there is a lot of hope for us conceiving naturally and I hope that I will now have a better quality of life. We would not hesitate to recommend him. We are so grateful we found Mr Alazzam.

A very successful diagnosis and surgery. Mr Alazzam took the time to explain the procedure and the recovery phase, answering all of my questions.. The procedure was complicated but this has resulted in an excellent result.

I consider myself very fortunate to have been referred to The Churchill Hospital and to the care of Mr Alazzam. From my first appointment, diagnosis, subsequent complex surgery and recovery, he was so kind, answered all my questions and I felt completely reassured that I was in the best possible hands. My surgery involved other teams, all whom were outstanding, as were the staff who cared for me on the ward post surgery. I can't praise the hospital and it's wonderful doctors and nurses enough.
